The Miami Beach Times is a community news publication focusing on two editorial pillars; rising sea levels and local beach culture.
The issue of sea level rising is well documented in various places, but there is not a clear leading source reporting on the topic, and there is nowhere with more at stake in the U.S. than Miami to chronicle how lives are changing today.
At the same time in Miami Beach – population 92,000, with ~16.5 million annual tourists* – there is a gap in local beach culture news between major dailies, alternative weeklies and monthly magazines.
