MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA – This week special attention must be paid to loved ones, especially our significant others, as Valentine’s Day is on Thursday, February 14th. Although romance and love are not the first words that come to mind when describing Miami Beach, there are certainly many versatile options when it comes to celebrating love.
One word that is associated with love and romance is sunset, and Miami Beach sure has can offer some of the most beautiful ones in the world. Watching the sunset with your love is probably a very good start to your St. Valentine’s Day, or even weekend, plans. The good news is that there are many different ways to do this, to the most elaborate to the simplest one.
Renting a yacht and having a private dinner while watching the sunset and the Miami Skyline is a very popular choice (for those with the means). For instance, companies like The Advantaged offer private cruises that will make every romantic fantasy come to life.
Most importantly they will take care of almost everything for you, in their words “when you’ve selected your destination and yacht, we’ll handle everything else up to the smallest details. From your experienced captain and crew, to unique onboard services, and countless water activities – everything to ensure an unforgettable experience!”
The less extravagant option might also be equally appealing for more low-key and private couples. A picnic under the stars after a stroll down the iconic Ocean Drive along Lummus Park in South Beach can be a very romantic plan. The sunset and soft chilly breeze of Miami’s winter are the perfect setting to cozy up and keep warm in the arms of your beloved.
If you are more of a traditional couple, perhaps a restaurant is the better choice, and Miami Beach offers some of the best places to eat in the South Florida. For instance, Il Mulino, offers a $175 dinner per person, that includes delicious plates such as Lobster Ravioli, and allows you to indulge in Prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries at the end of your meal.
If Italian is not for you, many upscale and beautiful spots offer upscale dinning for a fixed price. Make sure to make reservations with time! Be aware that dinning out on this day will always be a bit pricier and crowded than other nights. If you wish to continue the night, there are many fun places to dance the night away and keep fanning the flames of love.
For example, Basement, at the Miami Beach Edition, is a very animated club that will offer specials of $5 glasses of rosé, and $75 bottles of Moet Chandon Brut Champagne.
Those that are single, or a least alone on that day, should join the crowds at one of the famous traffic light parties around town, like the one at Barsecco in Brickell, Miami. Green if you are single, yellow if it’s complicated and red if you are taken! Enjoy!
