MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA – The venue ‘Miami Live’ is providing a stage in Miami Beach for the those looking to become a music star, or witness the next Beyonce in the making. The Open Mic Nights at Miami Live happen every weekend from 9PM to 12AM at 912 71st street.
Miami Live bills itself as a ‘premier event venue for live music, DJ’s, performers, birthdays, corporate events, and more.’ They recently hosted part of filming for Season two of Love & Hip Hop Miami, when singer & star of the show, Amara La Negra, hosted a special listening party event there for her new single.
For the past three years they have also been hosting Open Mic Nights to give rising and upcoming singers a chance to showcase their talent in front of industry regulars, and of course, their fans and loved ones.
Kyle Hiersche, owner and manager of Miami Live explained the concept, “Miami Live is a venue tailored to artists and creatives, with a full recording studio, as well as live music venue stage and bar. To give back to the artist community we started the open platform since the venue was built specifically with their needs in mind.”
He continued, “We welcome all creatives, some of our open mic guests are getting on stage for the first time in their life, and some of our performers are established platinum selling artists just looking to genuinely connect with fans.”
Spoken word and comedy performances are also welcome, although they are far less common. The most popular genres so far, are Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Pop, Rock and Latin music, such as Reggae and Reggaeton as well.
Registration is free for artists, and they get ten complimentary tickets to bring their fans. Performers get one song, or set, to impress their audience. VIP packages, which include tables and bottles, are also available for artists that wish to upgrade, as well as private parties.
