Lilian Ma, the bar manager at Cocktails in The Lincoln Eatery explained how ‘Cocktails with a Cause’ got started. “The idea was first developed when The Lincoln Eatery engaged with the Parkinson’s Foundation to host their upcoming annual gala this October and Cocktails wanted to get more involved.:

Adding, “With some research, we have found no one else has developed an on-going program to benefit our city’s charitable and non-profit organizations.”

Cocktails with a Cause will benefit the following charities: August, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital; September, Teach for America Miami-Dade; October, Parkinson’s Foundation; November, Diabetes Research Institute Foundation; December, United Way of Miami-Dade; and the Bog Dog Ranch Rescue in January.

Ma explained the selection process for the charities, “We chose charities with a personal connection, either individually or with our Lincoln Eatery purveyors.”

The cocktail of the month will change with each cause, and will be announced at the beginning of each month.

The bar’s most popular drinks include “The Morning After,” a combination of house-made corn-flakes infused rum, pineapple and coconut; the “Mangopolitan,” for fruit lovers and the classic “London Mule.”

Also the “Fresh Highball,” a mix of whisky, lime, ginger, and club soda, and the “Bourbon Smash,” a refreshing blend of bourbon, lemon, pineapple and basil. Drinks are approximately $16.
