MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA – The historic Miami Beach Cinematheque, at 1130 Washington Avenue, will host the 4th Annual Miami Independent Film Festival, “Mindie”, from Friday, June 28th at 4:30 PM until Sunday, June 30th at 7:30 PM.
The festival consists of three days of screenings and events, such as networking happy hours, workshops, parties and Q & A with the filmmakers.
Mindie-Miami was created by two award-winning Italian filmmakers in 2015, Laura Gasperini and Valentina Vincenzini with “aims to create a strong relationship between filmmakers, producers and distributors from all over the world.”
The festival starts with monthly submission of films and web series. A team of renowned filmmakers worldwide watches and reviews over 100 films, and selects the best one out of each category on the 20th of every month, as part of the “Mindie Monthly 20 Edition.” The winners go on to compete in the Mindie – Annual Miami Independent Film Festival.
The founders have expressed “how hard it is for an indie filmmaker to produce and distribute their work.” They continued to explain “We have created a monthly edition to give continuity to the selection process and a steady feedback to the filmmakers.”
Adding, “Instead of waiting months before getting an answer from the festival, filmmakers are immediately contacted if selected. Their work is privately screened every month and evaluated by an international team of experts in the industry.”
The 4th Annual Miami Independent Film Festival is admission-free, however, a donation (amount of your choosing) is encouraged to access all events.
The winners will be announced at the end of the festival, and will receive prices from the sponsors.
