MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA – Summer might be coming to an official end, but there are plenty of ways to keep that relaxed ‘summer vibe’ alive by planning a fun and activity-filled staycation in Miami Beach.

For example, one idea that has proven very popular for Miami and Miami Beach residents is to plan their staycation in one of the city’s many fabulous hotels. Luckily Hotel Month is going on until September 30th, a program which offers discounts and perks for guests when they book night at certain hotels.

Some of the participating resorts and hotels are: Eden Roc Miami, 1 Hotel South Beach, The Surfcomber, the AC Hotel Miami Beach, The Celine South Beach, and the Marriott Stanton: South Beach.

Many hotels also still have their Miami Spice menu available, which means, guests can enjoy the beautiful pools, beaches, and restaurants at special prices. Although Spa Month is over, many of the hotels and resort are also home to world-famous spas with cutting-edge anti-aging, slimming and relaxation treatments.

The Betsy Hotel, at 1440 Ocean Drive, just updated their program for the “Eternal Summer” promo, which includes twenty percent off the night’s stay, complimentary valet, continental breakfast for two, a one time $50 resort credit and half-price resort fee ($20 daily).

Jonathan Plutzik, owner of The Betsy Hotel explained, “We see many locals enjoy our hotel year-round, but especially in the summer season. Whether the draw is our rooftop pool, prime beach access, or distinct restaurants, we continue to find that guests are most intrigued by our arts and culture programming,[…] including live music, visiting artists, art exhibits, poetry readings and more.”

The Fontainebleau Hotel at 4441 Collins Avenue, also just unveiled their “Spice and Stay” package, until September 30th, starting at $249. The package includes complimentary dinner for two at the Fontainebleau restaurant of your choice, Hakkasan, Scarpetta by Scott Conant or StripSteak by Michael Mina, for every night booked, as well as complimentary parking.

Fun in the sun is always a good option for family, group or solo activities on a staycation in Miami Beach. Miami Watersports Paradise, offers activities like waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding, flyboarding, snorkeling, and even captained boat rentals.

Miami Water Sports, offers super fun water adventures, such as parasailing, kayaking and paddle boarding, hobie cat rentals and sea rocket. They will also match any discounted price.

For more family friendly activities, spend the day exploring the wild flora and fauna at Jungle Island at 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail. For the little ones, the Miami Children’s Museum at 980 MacArthur Causeway, offers approximately fourteen bilingual interactive exhibitions, and many educational and fun activities, and gorgeous bay views.

In addition, the Miami Botanical Garden at 2000 Convention Center Drive, often referred to as “Miami Beach’s Hidden Gem,” is an urban oasis featuring tropical and subtropical plants native to Miami and other parts of the world.

They offer tours of the beautiful location, they also host cultural and fitness such as art exhibits and yoga and meditation sessions. Admission to the gardens is free, while activities might be extra.
