Launching some of the biggest names in the business including Christie Brinkley, Elle Macpherson, Heidi Klum, Chrissy Teigen, Kate Upton, Ashley Graham and more, Sports Illustrated is back on the beach to find undiscovered talent.

Celebrating body positivity and diversity, this year is set to be bigger than ever, with W South Beach hosting the SI Swimsuit Model Search that’ll bring over 5,000 hopefuls to the property, along with fashion shows by top designers and parties throughout the weekend.

MJ Day, Editor of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, explained, “This is the second annual in-person, open casting call the team has hosted. Two years in a row in one of our favorite cities, Miami! […] In terms of turn out, Miami never disappoints. There are so many beautiful and unique women based here but that also fly in from around the country.”

Adding “The winner of our 2019 Model Search, Brooks Nader, came to our open casting call last year in Miami. She will now be a Rookie for our 2020 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In addition, the six Model Search finalists featured in this year’s issue attended last year’s Miami event.”

Model contestants will be interviewed, mentored and deliberated by the swimsuit models from the 2019 SI Swimsuit edition. The open casting call provides an opportunity for both new and established models to meet with the SI Swimsuit team and demonstrate why they should be in the 2020 issue.
