MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA – Tonight, Thursday October 31st, Miami Beach celebrates Halloween offering its residents a variety of options according to their tastes and interests. From trick or treating for the little ones, to live DJ’s and movies, everyone can join the fun.
The Scott Rakow Youth Center at 2700 Sheridan Avenue, will host a Halloween event from 6:30 PM until 9:30 PM. The event will include games, treats for tots, a haunted house for all ages, ice skating, rides, and light refreshments will be available for purchase.
Admission is $5 (cash only), and kids ages three and under are free, accompanied by an adult. There will also be free shuttle parking available from Miami Beach Senior High School, at 2231 Prairie avenue from 5:45 PM until 9:30 PM.
Melissa Berthier, communications representative for the City of Miami Beach, commented “We’ve offered these events through our Parks and Recreation Departments for decades! It’s important for us to provide children and families a safe and fun environment to enjoy a ‘spooktacular’ Halloween.”
Of course, a lot of the fun will be centered around Lincoln Road, where thousands of locals and tourists gather for the ultimate Halloween event, their “No Trick All Treat” party. Outdoor bars and restaurants open their doors around 5PM as the costumed-crowds start to gather.
Trick-or-Treating will go on from 5PM until 8PM. After that, “Night of the Living Dead” will be playing at the Soundscape Park in the New World Center at 8PM. Simultaneously, for the adult crowd, there will be live DJ’s lighting up the street party from 8PM until 1PM at various location in Lenox, Michigan Jefferson and Pennsylvania Avenues.
The Miami Beach Police Department (MBPD) will also join the fun by distributing candy to trick-or-treaters at various locations, including their headquarters at 1100 Washington Avenue starting at 5PM.
